If you are installing this P71-spec ECM into a Civilian model (Grand Marquis/Town Car), keep these 2008 factory differences in mind:

Starter Solenoid Ground: Most civilian models require you to manually ground the starter solenoid to bypass the P71 neutral safety logic. If it doesn't crank, you'll need to ground the starter relay at the fuse box to the chassis.

MAF Calibration: This file is specifically calibrated for the 80mm P71 Police Airbox/MAF. Using the smaller civilian intake will cause the engine to run lean. For peak performance, we recommend the P71 80mm housing.
